Misty Day, Remains of the Judgment (After Masahiro Ito)

MISTY DAY, REMAINS OF THE JUDGEMENT
(AFTER MASAHIRO ITO)
This illustration is one that I did for myself for fun with the aim of hanging it on my wall. I know it must seem very strange to most people, so you'll be interested to know that the figure depicted is from a survival horror video game called Silent Hill 2. The original painting that was created and then rendered into the game inside of the "Silent Hill Historical Society" was created by Masahiro Ito (the main artist for Team Silent at the time) and my work is after his. The figure here is the main antagonist of the game, Pyramid Head, who is an invincible monster and a symbolic creature whose purpose is revealed by the gameplay. Konami's "Silent Hill" is today one of the most successful video game franchises to ever exist. It is up there with Capcom's "Resident Evil," but this image is from the second game in the series (when it was still in its infancy). I have all of the games in the series, as I am a definite fan. The concept and original painting that I recreated into a drawing belongs to and is the copyright of the incomparable Masahiro Ito and Konami and the correct title of the original painting is "Misty Day, Remains of the Judgement," but Bēhance's character limit forced me to spell judgement without the E in the project title.
